Villa Barbaro at Masèr (TV)
Maser, province of Treviso, alt. 142 m/466 feet above sea level; train station at Cornuda, 3 km/2 miles to the east.
Open to the public:
- March through October: Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm
- November through February: Saturday, Sunday and holidays 2:30 to 5:00 pm
Among the most famous achievements of Palladio, the villa blends perfectly into the slopes of the Colli Asolani [Asolo hills]; the structure has a central block and two wings similar to Villa Emo at Fanzolo. The villa is famous also for its interior frescoes by Paolo Veronese.
