Asolo, Province of Treviso, altitude 220 m/722 feet above sea level; Via Collegio; train station at Bassano del Grappa, on the Venezia-Trento line, 15 km/9 miles to the west. It is at the end of the Sui sentieri degli Ezzelini [On the Trail of the Ezzelini] bike route, reachable by way of a rather challenging [grueling! RB] climb.

This large villa overlooks the central market piazza of Asolo, one of the best preserved of the historic villages of the Veneto. From the side of the piazza one can see the rocca [fortress] of Asolo, and in front of the villa a monumental stairway.

The villa, as it appears today, is the result of many renovations and additions in relation to the original casa con horto [house and garden] of the seventeenth century. The property passed from the Bressa family to the Pasini, who, during the eighteenth century, enlarged the villa extensively, until the end of the nineteenth century when it was acquired by Robert Browning Jr, the son of the famous English poet, who gave it its current look. During the twentieth century the property passed to the Pasini family.

The villa is private property and is not available for visits.
