This bicycle route along the Brenta River is one of the most interesting projects of the various bicycle paths that follow Italian rivers. The route starts from the source of the Brenta (Lake Caldonazzo near Trento) and runs to the lagoon of Venice.
The name “ciclopista del Brenta” is applicable only to the first section in the province of Trento (Valsugana), where the route follows mostly a dedicated bike path or along roads with very low traffic. Between Bassano del Grappa and Padua, the route is not even signed (or at least ... I could not find a trace). Between Padua and Venice there is a signed cycle route but it runs along roads open to motor traffic and therefore is not always comfortable for the cyclist.
