A route that to a large degree is on a dedicated bike path, the unpaved section along the Adige, and for the remainder on local roads that are relatively quiet. Points of interest of the route include Brugine with Villa Roberti, Candiana with Villa Garzoni, and the section along the Adige between Anguillara and Boara.

Leaving the ST(*) train station at Piove di Sacco take the street that takes you directly to the historic center; from there take Via Piave along the Fiumicello Canal, at first on a bike lane and then on the street itself; it is possible to ride on the other bank of the canal which has less traffic. At the end you will come to Via Marconi, cross it and you will find a bike lane, which by taking it to the left, will take you to the village of Brugine, where we find Villa Roberti, an important Renaissance architectural work.

After Brugine you arrive at Campagnola where you take Via Porto Superiore to the right which takes you to the river Bacchiglione and then to Pontelongo, where we find Villa Foscarini, today used as municipal offices for this town. The bridge that is right in front of the villa takes one by turning right two times towards Candiana and the hamlet of Pontecasale, where we find at the location of a really long wall, Villa Garzoni, one of the most celebrated of the Venetian villas, a work by Jacopo Sansovino.

After Villa Garzoni one arrives at the village of Arre, and here one turns left, cross a superhighway and continue to Agna. This small village takes its name from Via Annia, the ancient Roman consular road from Aquileia to Adria. After Agna continue south until you come to the northern bank of the Adige River. Shortly after you will come to the large town of Anguillara Veneta where there is a bridge over the Adige.

The bridge has two narrow bike lanes on the sides; by taking the one on the right we come out on the Lungo Adige, the road that follows the southern embankment of the river. Immediately after there is the village of San Martino delle Venezze. Here you will find an unpaved road on top of the embankment, marked by a sign prohibiting motor vehicles. It is in essence a bike and pedestrian path even though it lacks the classic blue bike and pedestrian symbol.

This is the section that is the most beautiful and peaceful of the entire route. The unpaved road is in good condition almost everywhere so that pedaling is easy on any kind of bike. Follow the bends in the river up to the large bridge at Boara, twin villages with Boara Pisani on the north and Boara Polesine, to the south.

Obviously there is no need to cross the river again, but instead take the road to the right coming off the bridge that in about 3 km/ 2 miles takes us to the train station at Rovigo.
