The final segment of the trip: starting off with more unpaved sections and steep grades; then coming to the top of a hill one finds a sign announcing the arrival into Greater London; at the bottom of the descent red, double-decker buses confirm we have arrived in London.

Arrows along the bike route pointing to the residential streets would lead to more steep ups and downs; but I had noticed that along the primary street there are two narrow bike lanes which I prefer to use, no more ups and downs, as far as Battersea, then to Chelsea Bridge, crossing the Thames, and finally, we are right in the center of London.
