The second section of the Drauradweg is less easy than the first (Dobbiaco-Lienz) due to the presence of unpaved sections and several climbs and descents.

Just outside of Lienz you should make a detour to the ruins of Aguntum, the only Roman city of the Tyrol of which there are any remains. You can recognize the gate to the city and various streets; a museum collects and presents the significant archaeological discoveries.

Get back on the bike path that runs north of the Drava river and continue on a paved section all the way to Oberdrauburg. Here begins a long but fairly flat unpaved section. Once in Dellach you continue on the right side of the river and travel along a small local road, paved with many ups and downs; around Steinfeld it is still an unpaved road and again a small local road takes you to Möllbrücke.

After Möllbrücke you take an unpaved road that runs between the wheat fields, staying on the right side of the Drava; one ends up at a paved intersection; you can go right onto a quiet street but with many ups and downs, or turn left, and following the signs, you end up on a street that runs along the left side of the train tracks all the way to the train station ÖBB Spittal an der Drau.

Spittal is a small town whose main attraction is the Porcia Castle named for the family of Italian origin which had its residence here between 1662 and 1918.
