Even the river Drava (Drau in German) has its bike route as does the Danube; the best equipped is the route that begins within Italian territory (the source of the Drava is near Dobbiaco/Toblach), crosses the Austrian Landen of Tirolo [the Tyrol] and Carinzia [Carinthia] and ends in Slovenia at Maribor.

The route runs alternately on stretches of dedicated bike path and local roads with low traffic; it alternates between stretches that are paved and unpaved, flat and climbing. The section that is most difficult is that in Slovenia between Dravograd and Maribor, where the ascents are frequent, with steep grades and unpaved sections that are rather brutal. The final stretch before Maribor is very busy with traffic and without cycle lanes.

After Maribor the Drava continues for hundreds of km’s before flowing into the Danube and creates the border between Croatia and Hungary, but I do not have any documentation about subsequent cyclable routes in this area.
